My lost Life

My grand father went by the name Charles R Butler,but Grand dad was born Charley Butler Randof Coleman in June 12, 1897. His dad was Paul Butler and his mother was Ella Jane Coleman born in 1879, in Mansfield pa. The Ella Carter I saw in the 1930 census was in fact his mother. The Charles Randof Coleman in the family bible, was his uncle; Charles R Coleman was the  brother of my gg grandad Richard G Coleman.  Eliza Jane and Richard G Coleman of Mansfield pa(Carnegie).  They came from the eastern shore of Virginia some time in 1860.  Knowing now that my Granddads full name was Charley Butler Randof Coleman and all he did was shorten his name makes me feel allot better. The sad story is that his father was murdered by Frank Butler in July 1901, his sad death was over one nickel. O I also found in the 1900 census the family of my Grand dad’s fathers side which were the Butlers. They also lived in Carnegie during that time.Paul Butler born abt: 1876 was the son of : Margaret Butler born abt 1852 in Jan Maryland and William Butler also born in Maryland. William Butler died on March 1st 1896 Paul's sister's and bother’s are listed in 1900 and 1910 census Annie Butler 1871 Fannie Butler Lipscomb born abt: 1875 Maryland Frank Butler 1879 Nimrod Butler born abt: 1884 Maryland Minnie Butler West born abt: 1888 Maryland Sherman Butler born abt: 1894 Pennsylvania. Lord or this may be Paul Butler both were born 1876 in Maryland and Anna Butler born 1871 So Frank was a few years younger then Paul when he shot him in 1901 As far as I know Margaret had nine or ten children , but only seven survived and only four are listed in the 1900 census and I found Fannie in the 1910 census.and two more in the 1880, because I think Paul and lord are the same person? Nimrod Butler married Helena Johnson Butler and in 1910 they had two children that I know of: Virginia Butler born abt: 1907 PA Ruth Butler born abt: 1910 PA. They also Raised Helena’s brother and sister Zona Johnson and Arnold Johnson they were 12 and 16 in 1910. Fannie Butler married Robert Lipscomb and in 1910 they had four children: Margaret 1897 Robert 1901 Violet 1903 Elizabeth 1906. Minnie Butler married George West and they had four children. Thomas West 1909, George West 1911, Livan West 1915, Gerald West, 1918. In 1910 There mother, Margaret Butler age now 59 was still living in the house hold with her young son Sherman who was 16teen in 1910. The Lipscomb’s, West and Butlers were all in the same house in the 1910 census. And in 1922 on Jan 1st Margaret Butler passed away.So my search goes on to find the Coleman and the Butler side of a family I never knew.
